Abstract

|
The technology to store and transmit patient medical records, to provide off-site diagnosis, to allow primary and specialist physicians to consult effectively, and to provide multi-site purpose video teleconferencing is available but not widely deployed.
SMC in collaboration with TMAC will be inplemented in three parts.
The first part is to provide coverage for the expatriate population of the Korean conglomerates´ residing in foreign countries with the ability to supplement the quality of health in these locations and ensure consultations with Korean speaking doctors at anytime from anywhere in the world.
The second is to provide the same type of services for the large population of foreign nationals residing in Korea.
The third, in addition to the international business, is planning to launch a Korean domestic telemedicine initiative to the local population.
